Antonio De Livier has been Executive Chef of the DEMETRIA restaurant in Guadalajara, Jalisco for almost a year. The restaurant recently received the Bohemia Distinction award and it was nominated as the best restaurant within a hotel by Travel and Leisure magazine. Also, Chef De Livier has been taping shows for the Utilisimo Channel for three years.
In Los Cabos he worked as executive chef for two restaurants. One was a “de Autor” restaurant (all dishes created by the staff) called La Frida and the other specializing in Italian fare called Fellinis, both of which earned AAA 4-Diamond awards. His personal seal was reflected in both restaurants.
For the past couple of years, Chef De Livier has devoted himself to bringing together the most important chefs of Mexican Cuisine in an annual event called “Pacific Cooks” where the cooks get together in planning sessions to discus and share the latest in research and advances in Mexican traditional and cutting edge cuisine.
Today, along with chefs Federico Lopez, Daniel Ovadia, Edgar Nunez and Christian Bravo, he comprises the cast of the Hambres en la Cocina (Hungers in the Kitchen) program telecast via the Utilisimo Channel to all of Latin America and which is about to begin broadcasting its second season.
Also, thanks to his always cheerful disposition and willingness to serve among the stoves, he has had the opportunity to cook with great musical stars such as Bono, vocalist for world famous U2.
