He studied for a diploma in Gastronomy at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Tourism in 2001. By 2003 he began to work alongside Enrique Olvera at Pujol where he stayed for 8 years. In 2005 he was named chief of the kitchen at Pujol and, starting in 2007, he began to work with Chef Olvera on different projects such as TEO, Catering and Accessories, as well as participating with the chef at different Gastronomic Congresses during that same period.
In 2007, he won second place in the Young Chefs of Mexico contest and also, during the summer of that same year, he made a presentation in the El Cellar Restaurant of Can Roca. In the year 2010 he was awarded the Bohemia Distinction in the Mexican Cuisine category in Mexico City.
By the end of 2011, he joined Costa Baja in the city of La Paz in Baja California Sur, a tourist complex comprised of a Resort-Spa, Yacht Marina, Golf Course and Villas, where he functions as its Executive Chef.
