Originally from Veracruz, he has devoted a large part of his life to a gastronomic adventure around the world at Luxury Resorts in the United States such as: The Ritz Carlton Kapalua Maui Hawaii, in charge of its haute cuisine specialty restaurant, Pacific Rim “Anuenue”.
During his extraordinary Culinary Adventure, he arrived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where he was the guest Chef at renowned gourmet festivals such as the International Gourmet Festival of Puerto Vallarta where, later on, he became the host Chef of the culinary community of the Mexican Pacific as well as being in charge of the kitchens of the Mayan Palace.
After this culinary adventure, he went to Acapulco where he created the entertainment center “Mondo Gourmet Food”, developing various concepts of haute cuisine restaurants.
Subsequently, Chef Hernandez started on an international journey in charge of the kitchens of the renowned cruise ship company, “Celebrity Cruises”, covering transatlantic routes as well as voyages to the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Alaska. It became a truly extraordinary gastronomic experience greatly enriching his culinary style.
In constant search of his culinary passion and with a successful professional career consolidated by his journeys throughout the world, Chef Tonathiu began a new journey in the Riviera Maya in charge of the kitchen of the world class resort, El Dorado Royale, awarded the prestigious 4-Diamond Award by AAA for 7 consecutive years, becoming one of the most honored hotels in the Caribbean.
His position as Executive Chef, successfully managing, simultaneously, the operation of a multiple number of restaurants focused on world class standards and upscale gastronomic specialization under the prestigious brand of Gourmet Inclusive, Chef Tonathiu Hernandez can be defined as: “A man with a PASSION for perfection, in service and in aspects of worldwide haute cuisine.”
